CFB Inc. Celebrates GIS Day at the College of Central Florida

On GIS Day 2024 (November 20^th), our GIS & Mapping team, led by Marty Goodwin (GIS & Mapping Director), and our HR Manager, Elizabeth Bednar, proudly represented CFB Inc. at the inaugural  Mapping Your Future GIS Career Pathways event. Hosted by the College of Central Florida at their Ocala Campus, this event celebrated the vast career opportunities within Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

Exploring Diverse GIS Career Opportunities

Students and community members connected with college representatives and industry leaders to explore how GIS impacts fields such as information technology, urban planning, engineering, land development, environmental management, emergency response, logistics, precision agriculture, and beyond.

Hands-On Learning and Networking

The event featured hands-on demonstrations, engaging talks, and valuable networking opportunities, offering attendees a glimpse into the dynamic possibilities of a GIS career.
